Gastroenterology

Pratima Dibba, MD is a board-certified gastroenterologist with an extensive background in gastroenterology, nutrition, and women’s gastrointestinal health. She is passionate about preventive gastrointestinal care, colon cancer screening, and overall digestive health.

A graduate of the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in St. Kitts, Dr. Dibba completed her internal medicine residency at Hackensack UMC Mountainside Hospital and a three-year fellowship in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in affiliation with Cornell University. She has additional training in Women’s Gastrointestinal Health completed at Providence, Rhode Island’s Women & Infants Hospital in affiliation with Brown University. She has also undergone training in Nutrition completed at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Dibba has published multiple research articles in the field of general gastroenterology, liver disease, nutrition, and women’s gastrointestinal health. Most recently, she published a textbook chapter in the field of nutrition. She joined the gastroenterology team at Medical Offices of Manhattan in 2022.

As someone who believes strongly in access to exceptional gastrointestinal care, Dr. Dibba is mindful of the individual needs of each patient, irrespective of their level of health, socioeconomic status, gender identity, and cultural or religious background. She understands that gastrointestinal procedures, including upper endoscopies and colonoscopies, may seem overwhelming for some patients, and places high priority on fostering feelings of comfort, confidence, privacy, and security. Dr. Dibba values the opportunity to connect personally with patients and work with them through their clinical conditions, not only in the initial diagnosis of their gastrointestinal issues, but also in the comprehensive treatment and follow up of their conditions over time.

When not working with her patients, Dr. Dibba enjoys staying physically active, exploring NYC, and spending time with her family and friends.
