And while it’s so energizing to see it in the air around the holidays, we’re always trying to make sure that giving is part of our platform year-round. We’ve connected with some amazing organizations to do just that, so you can feel extra good about taking control of your health with us. Project Sunshine

Project Sunshine is a leading volunteer-based organization delivering free in-hospital programs to 175,000+ pediatric patients and their families since 1999. Through creativity and fun, they allow kids to simply be kids while they’re facing very grown-up medical challenges. They offer children and families activities that are social, therapeutic, and give everyone in the hospital the freedom to have fun. We’ve seen the programs first-hand and we’ve got to say, it’s inspiring to see the energy levels in children rise when they’re making slime and putting on silly faces in a photo booth. National Breast Cancer Foundation

This year, we’ve been honored to partner with the National Breast Cancer Foundation. LabFinder donates $5 to NBCF for each mammogram booked through our MinuteMed feature. Everyone should have access to mammograms and diagnostic services – that’s a value we’re proud to share with NBCF. So yes, you can easily take the incredibly essential wellness step of booking a mammogram through LabFinder. But you can also feel proud to simultaneously give important resources to the leading organization helping those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education, and support services.

 

Environmental Paper Network

Did you know that LabFInder allows doctors to send electronically signed scripts to diagnostic centers and electronic referrals to other doctors? Not only does this make communication seamless between doctors, patients, and centers, it also helps our users reduce unnecessary paper waste. We’re happy to be part of the paper calculator power user program at the Environmental Paper Network, a worldwide network working to reduce paper use and increase the use of sustainable paper alternatives. Their mission, as well as ours, includes being conscious of paper waste – which contributes not only to deforestation but affects water use and quality, air pollution, animal habitats, and the global climate.
